Tyrone Wayne Colwell, 41, of Keokuk, Iowa, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at his home.
Tyrone was born April 1, 1970, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Cathrine Colwell. He attended the College of Albemarle in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, where he received a degree in computer engineering. He worked for Morris Rubber and later ran a Karaoke business, Ty's Karaoke.
He loved music, singing, fishing, and playing the guitar. He enjoyed working with computers. Ty was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Tyrone is survived by two daughters, Heather Colwell of Ft Madison, Iowa, and Ashley Colwell of Colorado; one grandchild, Skyler Leah Rose Cale; his companion, Cathy Bauswell of Keokuk; his mother, Cathrine Colwell of Tennessee; three sisters, Jeri Lynne Baker of Alexandria, Missouri, Danita Kay Brewer of Omaha, Nebraska, and Tracy Verba of North Carolina; a special friend who was like a father to Ty, Irv Osberg of Keokuk; several nieces and nephews including Mark Brewer, Adam Donnelly, Alex Verba, Caitlin Colwell, Dalton Baker and Nathaniel Baker; and two great-nephews, Peyton Brewer and Trenton Caudill; and two great nieces, Raine Donnelly and Aarya Caudill.
He was preceded in death by one niece, Meghan Brewer.
No service is planned.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street after 3:00 PM with family meeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday.
A memorial has been established for his family.

Ty I know we hadn't talked in a couple years but you were/will always be on my mind. We had some great times. My condolences to all of your family and friends!
Ty was always there when you felt most alone and he always knew how to make you laugh when at times all you wanted to do was cry.... Your smile and the person you were will be missed .
