Craig Foulkes Obituary

Craig Douglas Foulkes, 72, of Keokuk, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at his home in Roseville, Illinois.

Craig was born February 14, 1951, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Ralph C. and Rebecca R. (Strube) Foulkes. He graduated from Keokuk High School in 1969. In March 1974, he was united in marriage to Debbie Schmitz in Hamilton, Illinois. They were later divorced.

Craig started an equipment rental business with his father, in Keokuk and became an entrepreneur who started, owned or co-owned, and operated many businesses throughout his career in the tri-state area, including but not limited to Keokuk Rental & Sales, Tape Station and Sears (Lake of the Ozarks).

Throughout his life Craig loved the art of buying, selling and negotiating business deals.  In retirement he adored watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with them. Craig was a talented cook, a grill master, and was widely known for his famous charcoal T-bone steaks. Craig never met a stranger, always had time to talk and genuinely cared about others.  His contagious laugh and jokes will be missed.

Craig is survived by his fiancée Dedria Arnold of Roseville and his two children: daughter Nicole (Clint) Wray of Keokuk, Iowa and son Brian (Michelle) Foulkes of Clermont, Florida; two sisters: Caitlin (Bob) Allbright of Georgetown, Texas and Cindy Foulkes of Hamilton, Illinois; three nephews: Brett (Leslie) Burich, Ryan (Christopher Fleming) Foulkes, and Ben Burich; five grandchildren: London Wray, Lincoln Wray, Blake Foulkes, Christian Foulkes and Lennan Wray; two step children: Terry (Amy) Willis of Abingdon, Illinois and Chris (Emily) Arnold of Denver, Colorado and his beloved dog and companion Heidi.

His parents and brother Curtis precede Craig in death.
