Dorothy "Dot" Hutcherson Obituary

Dorothy Irene “Dot” Hutcherson, 89, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Montrose Health Center in Montrose, Iowa.

Dot was born on February 21, 1933, in Granger, Missouri, the daughter of Clifford and Gladys (Cline) Glover. She was employed at Dial Corporation in sanitation and packaging for twenty-two years, retiring in 1995. After retirement, she went on to work at Hy-Vee as a part-time greeter. In her free time, Dot enjoyed riding her scooter, working outside in her yard, and spending time with her granddaughter Lauren.

Dot is survived by her daughter Cindy Adams of Keokuk, Iowa; her granddaughter Lauren Adams; two sisters: Marianna Pontius and Wanda Lyon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dot is preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Darlene Graham, and two brothers: Donald Glover and Leon Glover.

Dot donated her body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. No services will be held at this time.

Dot’s family would like to give special thanks to AJ and Nina Hutcherson for taking wonderful care of their grandma and the Montrose Health Center for the loving care they gave her.
