Glen W. Spraggins

Glen W. “Jr” “Snowman” Spraggins, 68, of Eldridge, Missouri, formerly of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at his best friend’s home in Keokuk, Iowa.

Glen was born on November 13, 1952, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Glen W. Spraggins and Elizabeth “Dolly” Jane (Sprague) Spraggins Ricketts. Glen graduated from Keokuk High School and went on to become a truck driver for thirty-five years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, calling his granddaughter, spending time with his friends and watching WWE. Glen often played Santa Claus or was mistaken for him.

Glen is survived by his mother Elizabeth “Dolly” Ricketts of Eldridge, Missouri; his wife Dawn Michele Douglas/Spraggins of Eldridge, Missouri; his son Lawrence Daniel Spraggins of Eldridge, Missouri; two daughters: Ashley Spraggins of Burlington, Iowa, and Elizabeth Spraggins of Eldridge, Missouri; his brother Morris Ricketts of Eldridge, Missouri; his step-daughter Renae Easton; his granddaughter April Stevens Mason of Keokuk; his god-sons Tagen and Nathan Earls; his best friend Ray Kelley, his dear friend James Mason and two step-granddaughters. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Glen is preceded in death by his father, his brother Albert A. Burgess, his step-father Albert G. Burgess and several aunts and uncles.

According to his wishes, no services will be held.
