John "Kenny" Schwiete Obituary

John “Kenny” Schwiete, 77, of Keokuk, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at River Hills Village in Keokuk.

Kenny was born on June 25, 1946, in Keokuk, the son of John and Gladys (Ealy) Schwiete. He graduated from Keokuk High School in 1967, and was employed at the ordinance plant, the Holiday Inn and Montgomery Ward before finishing the last thirty years of his working career at Hy-Vee in Keokuk. When he wasn’t working, Kenny enjoyed cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Kenny is survived by two brothers: Randy (Andrea) Schwiete and Ricky Schwiete, both of Keokuk; and several cousins including Patty Schwiete of Keokuk.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents.

A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk.
