Juanita Marie (Vradenburg) Mullen

Juanita Marie Mullen, 71, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Juanita was born on July 9, 1951, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Fredrick, Sr. and Darlene (Carle) Vradenburg. She was a medical assistant and worked for River Hills Village, retiring from Dr. Jabari’s office. Juanita was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk. She enjoyed attending auctions and every yard sale she could find. She was a crafty person and was talented at crocheting. Juanita will always be remembered for her feisty yet kind personality. She was wise and stubborn and was a mother to everyone she met. Above everything else, she loved her family.

Juanita is survived by her mate of 30 years Frank Kramer of Montrose; two sons: Leo (Yvonne) Vradenburg and Chris (Tiffanie) Vradenburg, both of Keokuk; her daughter Michelle (Ronald “Doobie” Mason, Sr.) Vradenburg of Keokuk; two step-sons: Jake (Karyn) Kramer of Keokuk and Jed (Kelsey) Kramer of Donnellson; four siblings: Roger (Aletha) Vradenburg, Karen Vradenburg, Annette Vradenburg (James McCarty) and Cathy Blansett; nine grandchildren: Jordan (Danielle Cary), Christopher, Heather (Michael), Caleb, Hannah, Alton, Hallee, Emory and Macklin; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Amy Vradenburg; and six siblings: Dave Vradenburg, Kirk Vradenburg, Annie Bell, Fredrick Vradenburg, Jr., Terry Vradenburg and Mike Vradenburg.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 21, 2023, at All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, with burial to follow at Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, April 20, at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk. A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home at 3:30 pm on Thursday directly before visitation.
