Kenneth “Louie” Louis Howell, Jr., 59, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Louie was born on March 4, 1962, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Kenneth Louis Howell, Sr. and Carolyn Mae Mann.

Louie was quite the jokester with a wonderful sense of humor. He could be found riding anything with a motor and had an impressive marble collection. Louie was a well-liked, family man and protector with a generous heart. His family meant the world to him – especially his children and grandchildren.

Louie is survived by four sons: Kenny Howell, Kolten (Riki) Howell, Keaten Howell and Keagen Howell all of Keokuk; two daughters: Katelyn Howell of Keokuk and Karlie Howell of Hamilton, Illinois; five grandchildren: Kayne, Kannon and Krey Howell, Koraline Howell and Daniel Wrieden; six sisters: Lisa (Steve) Rairden of Keokuk, Sandy (Bruce) Marmion of Hamilton, Illinois, Cindy Howell of Keokuk, Robin (Richard) Kitzman of Donnellson, Iowa, Susan Howell of Keokuk and Candy (James) Dupuy of Indiana; one brother: Brian Howell of Keokuk; favorite cousins: Andy Carson of Burlington, Iowa, Carman Prundy of Davenport, Iowa, and Pam Howell of Austin, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Louie is preceded in death by his parents, sister Kimberly Howell, granddaughter Kymberly and niece Lindsay Dupuy.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
