Marsha Diane (Martin) Gregory Cook

Marsha Diane (Martin) Gregory Cook, 72, of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois.

Marsha was born on March 28, 1949, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Corbett and Rita (Leffler) Martin. She worked with children and was a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed watching wrestling and calling her friends to visit. In her younger years, Marsha enjoyed trucking throughout the country. Her family fondly remembers the Christmas treats she made every year, large Thanksgiving meals, and the fun she had with her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Marsha also recently started attending the Thurman family reunions in Warsaw and was previously active in the Watch Dog Security for the City of Christmas in Keokuk. 

Marsha is survived by four children: Jody, Anthony D. (Fran) Gregory of Hamilton, Illinois, Tiffany (Steve Wilkens) Gregory of Nauvoo, Illinois, and Bobby (Kim) Ferguson of Canton, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Ariel, Dameon, Colton, Haylee, Dayton, Jade, Levi-Scott, Jasmine “Jazz” and Alexis; several great-grandchildren; her sister Barb Whitney of Minneapolis, Minnesota; her close friends Marion and Kim Ferrel and Terry Kinkeade; and several cousins.

Marsha is preceded in death by her parents and a stillborn son.

Marsha’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 2 pm on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk. Visitation with the family present will be held on Saturday from noon to 2 pm at the funeral home directly before the service.
