Mary Lu Lopez, 75, of Mather, California, (formerly of Keokuk) passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021, in Sacramento, California.

Mary Lu was born on August 22, 1945, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of John and Naomi Mary (Barton) Reimbold. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Nauvoo, Illinois on June 2, 1963 and then attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, in Iowa City, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Henry Lopez on May 10, 1975 in El Paso, Texas.

Mary Lu worked as a registered nurse for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Rancho Cordova, California for over 25 years. Mary Lu enjoyed painting, gardening and loved dogs.

Mary Lu is survived by one brother: John J. Reinbold, Jr., of Texas.

Mary Lu is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Henry.

A private burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa.
