Paul was born September 14, 1983, the son of Steve and Polly (Huneke) Mullins in Keokuk, Iowa.  He graduated from Carthage High School in 2002 and went on to receive an associate’s degree from Southeastern Community College for graphics design in 2005. Having no children of his own, Paul was a cherished uncle to his nephews and nieces. He stood in the gap whenever needed by those around him as a brother, mentor, best friend, etc. Paul put family first and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them on vacations or at the family cabin at the Lake of the Oaks in St. Patrick, Missouri. Paul was a beloved paraprofessional working with students in the special education and general education classrooms at the Richardson Elementary School in Ft. Madison, Iowa.  Born Paul Jacob Mullins, but was known by many nicknames over the years, Paully D, Darth Maul, the Candyman, Mr. Paul Wall, Mr. P Wizzle, and of course he was known to his mom as P.J. and to the students as Mr. Paul.  Paul was an avid PlayStation gamer and especially enjoyed Borderlands, Diablo 3, and Fortnite.  He was also an avid movie collector and had countless collectible figurines, beanie babies, and keychains.  Paul was very proud of his work in the Jumpstart Program at the Fort Madison Community School District and was looking forward to continuing this work in the after school program. Paul had also worked security for over ten years.  He had strong Christian beliefs and his radio was always tuned to KLOVE.

Paul is survived by his mother and stepfather, Polly and Allan Knisley, of Keokuk; two sisters, Rachel Woodworth of Keokuk and Sarah (Joe) Norvell of Warsaw; four nephews, Michael and Nathaniel (Caprie) Woodworth of Keokuk and Austin and Lucas Norvell of Warsaw;  one niece Haley Norvell of Warsaw; four great-nephews Quinton, Mason, Ashton and Bennett, one great-niece Aubree, and numerous cousins.
