Yula Mae Meyer, 83, of Montrose, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Montrose Health Center in Montrose, Iowa.

Yula Mae was born on January 5, 1938, in Worthington, Minnesota, the daughter of Martin Otto and Lillian Mary (Leckband) Haack. In October of 1966, she was united in marriage to Donald G. Meyer in South Dakota. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2005.

Yula Mae called Montrose, Iowa her home for over 30 years. She will be best remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, and her goodness to everyone she knew.

Yula Mae is survived by six children: Chad Meyer and Stacy (Chris) Rule of Montrose, Iowa, Monte Meyer of Fort Madison, Iowa, Connie (Jeff) Struckman and Bonnie (Mark) Schroeder of Elgin, Minnesota, and Cindy Austin of Rochester, Minnesota; her sister Sandra Jones; daughter-in-law Brenda Meyer; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
